The Basilica of The Holy Cross in Jerusalem

In addition to St. John's Basilica (300 meters), there is the Holy Cross Basilica in Jerusalem (about 500 meters) where the relics of the cross on which Jesus crucified

The Basilica of Holy Cross in Jerusalem is located in Rome, in the Esquiline District, close to the Aurelian Walls and the Castrense Amphitheater, between the Basilica of St. John Lateran and the Porta Maggiore.

Santa Croce is part of the visit of the Seven Churches that the pilgrims used to visit on foot.
The relics of the Cross were initially guarded in the chapel created in the 4th century by Saint Helena itself; in the sixteenth century they were transferred to allow for a more adequate preservation and in 1931 they found their final place in the present Chapel which is accessed through a corridor that symbolizes an ideal ascent to the aurora.

The Sacred Relics, placed in precious reliquaries, all or part of the 1800's, are preserved in a crystal teak and thus exposed to the worship of the faithful.
Tradition says that they were certainly carried by Saint Elena to Rome as a result of his journey the fragments of the True Cross and one of the nails used in the Crucifixion.
